A few films have been delayed because the studio decided that paying actors and writers to end the strike was too much to ask. One of the big films that moved from this month to March 2024 is Dune: Part Two. The first film was released during the hybrid release year at Warner Bros.
when they released movies in theaters and HBO Max on the same day. People were concerned that Dune wouldn't do well enough due to the hybrid release to merit a sequel, and the film was quite clearly half a movie. However, Dune did numbers and came home with some Oscar gold. Now, the second film has been delayed due to the strikes, but some of the actors are out doing press for films, including Austin Butler.
