The route will operate four times a week from May to October, utilizing Air Canada's Airbus A220-300 aircraft.The new service complements Air Canada's existing non-stop flights from AUS to Vancouver and Toronto, further expanding connectivity between Central Texas and Canada. Montréal, the second-largest city in Canada, serves as a major economic hub and offers connections to over 180 destinations across five continents through YUL.
"Today marks an exciting day as we launch our third route with Air Canada," declared Ghizlane Badawi, CEO of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. "This new destination not only demonstrates our dedication to expanding international travel opportunities for our passengers but also enhances economic and cultural ties between Texas and Canada. Passengers traveling to Austin on the new route will clear customs at their Canadian airport before re-entering the US, streamlining the arrival process. The inaugural flight was celebrated at AUS with a launch event attended by city and airport officials, airport partners, and Air Canada representatives.
