Australian star Cayla George is a WNBA champion after helping the Las Vegas Aces clinch the title in her very first start of the season. The 34-year-old, back in the world’s best league for the first time since 2018, was a regular off the bench for the Aces this year.
Cayla George wins WNBA title. And she stood up when it counted after being called upon to play 30 minutes to help replace injured starters Chelsea Gray and Kiah Stokes against the New York Liberty. George played 30 minutes and matched her season-high scoring tally with 11 points, nailing three-pointers when Vegas were on the ropes either side of half-time, while she also recorded four rebounds, three assists and three steals.
