An Aurora woman who struck and killed a man after a night of drinking at a popular Chagrin Falls dive bar will serve prison time.
Brooke Marie Jarvis, 30, whose family owns an Aurora-based international insurance agency that insures horses and farms in more than 30 countries, pleaded guilty on Tuesday to reckless homicide in the March 26, 2021, killing of Chadwich McIntosh.CLEVELAND, Ohio --
McIntosh’s mother hired the Akron-based personal injury firm of Kisling, Nestico and Redick and filed a wrongful-death lawsuit against Jarvis, C. Jarvis Insurance and the Greenville Inn, as well as several unnamed bartenders who served Jarvis that night, in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court in March. The lawsuit seeks punitive damages, and it alleges negligent and reckless conduct by Jarvis.
Prosecutors said Jarvis sat at the bar for about two hours and had several drinks, including tequila shots, court records say. Police took her Jeep as evidence and found a baggie of psychedelic mushrooms in a purse in the trunk, according to court records.
