Aurora officials are investigating a homicide after Denver police officers discovered a body in a dumpster Monday.
from the Aurora Police Department, Denver officers responded to a report of a body found in the 1400 block of Olive Street Monday morning.
Officers determined the victim had been taken to Olive Street in a van, which they located near the scene, and disposed of in a dumpster, the release said. Detectives with Aurora’s Major Crime Homicide Unit took over the investigation Monday afternoon after witnesses told Denver officers the victim was killed during a Saturday night shooting in Aurora’s Del Mar Parkway neighborhood, the release said.The victim will be identified by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.
The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with any information is asked to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
