Lakewood police arrested an Aurora man Thursday in connection with Tuesday’s fatal shooting.
At about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Lakewood police responded to reports of a shooting at the northbound off-ramp at Sixth Avenue and Simms Street.“Witnesses at the scene described Bruce as soliciting on the side of the road when a vehicle pulled up and shot him,” the news release stated.According to a news release, Lakewood police and several partner agencies tracked Jiron to a Strasburg home in Adams County.
Adams County’s SWAT team responded to the location with Lakewood Police. Jiron surrendered and was taken into custody.
