El condado no indicó en su actualización semanal del miércoles si los dos estaban vacunados. Los totales agregados indican que 46 de los 113 fallecidos estaban totalmente vacunados y 67 no.No está claro el grado de mortalidad de la oleada de ómicron.
Además, la notificación de las estadísticas de muertes por COVID-19 suele ser bastante lenta debido al proceso de revisión de los certificados de defunción y de los casos que tiene lugar antes de contabilizar cada muerte. En un comunicado, la doctora Wilma Wooten, responsable de salud pública del condado, dijo que las muertes “van en aumento”.
