Prime Minister Anthony Albanese says today there is a “new chapter” in the relationship between the UK, US and Australia, with the announcement of AUKUS in San Diego.
“A friendship built on our shared values, our commitment to democracy and our common vision for a peaceful and prosperous future,” Mr Albanese said.
“The AUKUS agreement we can firm here in San Diego, represents the biggest single investment in Australia’s Defence capability in all of our history.“Building a future made in Australia with record investment in skills, jobs and infrastructure and delivering a superior Defence capability into the future.”
