The electric crossover is getting a light refresh and a technology overhaul
The 2027 Audi Q4 e-tron has been spied nearly undisguised. It sports new bumpers, an updated grille, and revamped interior. We can likely expect an upgraded powertrain with more range. The facelifted Audi Q4 is almost ready for its big debut as spy photographers have snapped a prototype virtually undisguised.
As you can see, it’s only wearing a few pieces of camo on the headlights, taillights, and grille. Thanks to this half-hearted disguise, we can see the electric crossover will be equipped with a fully enclosed grille that features a new wave-like pattern. The model also has a more pronounced grille surround as well as a lightly revised bumper. More: Something Big Is Changing Inside Audi’s Q4 And It’s Not Just The Battery A closer inspection reveals updated air curtains and a lower intake with a new honeycomb mesh insert. The headlights appear to carryover, but it’s possible the thin disguise could be hiding some minor updates. The profile looks untouched, although we wouldn’t be surprised to find updated wheels. Out back, designers added a more harmonious bumper that eschews the faux vent aesthetic. Speaking of vents, we can see new ones at the outside edges that are accompanied by a triangular accent. Elsewhere, there’s a new diffuser and camouflage that hints at updated taillight graphics. SHProshots Spy photographers didn’t get a look inside, but previous pictures have shown the crossover will adopt an all-new dashboard with a freestanding curved display. It’s expected to echo the one found in newer models and this means the crossover could have an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.5-inch infotainment system, and a 10.9-inch front passenger display. This would be a sizable step up from the current 10.25-inch cluster and 11.6-inch infotainment system. Besides larger displays, the crossover could adopt a new steering wheel and revised switchgear. Baldauf The biggest mystery remains the powertrain, but we can likely expect an upgraded battery pack and more efficient electric motors. These changes can’t come soon enough as the Q4 45 e-tron has an 82 kWh battery pack that powers a rear-mounted motor developing 282 hp . This enables the model to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 6.3 seconds and have an EPA-estimated range of 288 miles . Upgrading to the Q4 55 e-tron quattro rewards buyers with a dual-motor all-wheel drive system producing 335 hp .
