Geurin’s commitment makes her the first player to onboard with the Tigers since the hiring of Chris and Kate Malveaux earlier this month.
Cryptic posts from Auburn softball’s new coaching staff came Friday night as co-head coaches Chris and Kate Malveaux and pitching coach Ryker Chason all posted their “WDE” bat signals with no other explanation.Come Saturday evening, the reason for the cryptic posts became clearer as Oklahoma transfer pitcher SJ Geurin announced her commitment to join the Tigers on The Plains in a post to her Instagram.
In two seasons in Norman, Geurin was a part of a pair of national championship-winning runs with Oklahoma, which won its fourth consecutive title earlier this month. Ranked the No. 7 pitcher in the 2022 class by Extra Innings Softball, Geurin committed to Oklahoma over UCLA, Oregon and Texas A&M.
