Auburn softball ace Maddie Penta named all-SEC selection for third consecutive season

Penta finished the season as the SEC’s strikeout leader having hurled 230 strikeouts all season and 92 in conference play.

During her nine-inning outing at Ole Miss on April 26, Penta logged 18 strikeouts, tying the program record for most strikeouts in a game. As it sits, Penta needs another 20 strikeouts to reach the 250-strikeout milestone for the third season in a row. Penta also stands as Auburn’s program leader in career wins , second in career strikeouts and third in career shutouts .
