Longtime commit signed with Tigers on Wednesday
It was a viral moment that caused some anxiety for Auburn fans, but it in the end wound up being nothing to worry about.along with thousands of Ole Miss fans following the Rebels’ 28-10 win over Georgia on Nov. 9. And though some took it as a sign he might be flipping to Ole Miss after his official visit, Knight said Wednesday after signing with Auburn that he was merely having fun.
“I’ll be straight up — I liked that game, it was fun,” Knight said. “But I’m a football player. I feel like any football fan would rush the field after that game if you’re a fan of football.” The 6-foot-4 Knight is rated the No. 4 quarterback and the No. 26 overall recruit in the Class of 2025, according to 247 Sports’ composite rankings.
