Rayshawn Pleasant credits daily matchups with Coleman for building his confidence as he potentially faces Texas A&M's explosive receiving duo this weekend.

Despite finishing the game with six total tackles and a pass breakup, Pleasant felt like his debut in the secondary could have gone a lot better. “I would say it was a little bit average. I feel like I could have done a little bit more,” Pleasant said Tuesday after practice.

“There’s always room for improvement. I feel like my best is yet to come.”Pleasant was flagged for an early defensive penalty that halted a first quarter third down stop for Auburn. However, that was his only penalty of the game, and he helped contain Oklahoma wideout Deion Burks to just 40 receiving yards all game. That came as no surprise with Pleasant practicing against Auburn wide receiver Cam Coleman every week in the Tigers’ one-on-one drills. “It gives me crazy confidence when I go out against every day. I see what he’s doing to the other team and it’s nothing but confidence. All of our receivers have us well prepared,” Pleasant added. With Crawford’s status still in question, Pleasant could see more time in the secondary this week against Texas A&M. Texas A&M landed a monster wide receiver duo in the transfer portal: Mario Craver, who currently leads the SEC in receiving yards with 443, and KC Concepcion, who has 227 yards on 13 catches through three games. When analyzing the Aggies’ wide offensive tandem, Pleasant views it as another opportunity to improve. “Just being dominant. Playing that same defense and being better than we were last week. Just stacking days throughout the week and get back in that win column,” Pleasant added.
