Auburn center Johni Broome, who has been sidelined since January 11th with an ankle injury, participated in practice on Thursday but didn't push himself. Coach Bruce Pearl says Broome's status for Saturday's game against Tennessee is unclear and will depend on his recovery and how he responds to the practice.
Johni Broome , who has been out since Jan. 11, “moved around” a little during Auburn ’s practice on Thursday but “didn’t go very long, didn’t go very hard,” according to head coach Bruce Pearl.“A lot is going to depend on how he responds,” Pearl on Thursday night Tiger Talk. “He’s going to be back in the next week or two, we kind of know that, but I just don’t know if it’s going to be Saturday. We’re not playing games with anybody, it’s just with an ankle, it’s about how he feels, how he was.
Broome has missed two games since injuring his ankle against South Carolina. The Tigers have gone 2-0 without him with wins over Mississippi State and Georgia. People are also reading… Auburn and Tennessee tip off at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. The game will air on ESPN.
