Despite Monmouth 's strong start, Auburn took control in the final six minutes of the first half with an 18-0 run. Auburn 's bench outscored Monmouth 's 31-10 and they dominated the boards 46-27. Broome and Dylan Cardwell each grabbed 11 rebounds, while Tahaad Pettiford dished out five assists.
In addition to Broome, Chad Baker-Mazara, Cardwell, and Johnson all scored in double figures. Auburn returns to action on Saturday for its SEC opener against Missouri
