Luke Young, a Roanoke-based attorney, has gone missing, prompting his family to launch a search for answers. Young last spoke to his children and a friend on Thursday evening, but his phone has been off since Friday. His sister, Malea Walker, discovered his rental car, a white Ford Bronco, parked in an apartment garage in Fairfax on Monday. The car's route suggests a circuitous journey through Washington, D.C., and back to Fairfax. The discovery of clothing in the car that appeared to be too small and belonging to the apartment management company adds to the mystery surrounding Young's disappearance.
Young lives alone in Roanoke and has been an attorney for the past seven years, working out of his own firm for four years.
"His car has been in the shop. Luke was driving a rental car. It was a white Ford Bronco. We were finally able to get them to track the vehicle," she said. "When they did track the vehicle they found that it had been driven up a very circuitous route up back up through DC, and finally through Fairfax," Walker said.
"We have to assume so many things have happened, my mom started off in Roanoke. Since I live up here, I've been driving around, especially in the area the car was found," Walker said.
