The attorney for Eric and Lyle Menendez is reacting after Gov. Gavin Newsom said he won't decide on clemency for them until the new Los Angeles County district attorney reviews the case.

But Hochman, who ran on a tough-on-crime ticket, defeated Gascón and is set to take office next month. He hasGov. Newsom says he won't decide on clemency for the Menendez brothers until new DA Nathan Hochman reviews the case. Hochman has promised to revisit the brothers' case by reviewing thousands of pages of confidential prison files, trial transcripts, as well as interview prosecutors, defense attorneys and law enforcement.
Nathan Hochman will look closer at the Menendez brothers' case despite Gascón announcing a resentencing.
