AtmosZero, a company focused on electrifying steam, has opened its first 100,000 square-foot manufacturing facility in Loveland, Colorado. This facility will produce up to 100 Boiler 2.0 units annually, marking a significant step towards commercializing the company's carbon-neutral, industrial electrified boiler product.
On Monday, February 10, 2025, at 5:00 AM PST, AtmosZero, the company dedicated to electrifying steam, officially opened its first 100,000 square-foot manufacturing facility at the Forge Campus in Loveland, Colorado . This milestone marks the initial step in commercializing Boiler 2.0 and expanding the company's manufacturing capabilities to support upwards of one gigawatt of steam. Notably, AtmosZero recently produced its first commercial-scale Boiler 2.0 product at its existing factory.
This new facility is projected to manufacture up to 100 Boiler 2.0 units annually and will commence commercial shipments in 2026. To effectively scale its manufacturing operations, AtmosZero has appointed Jim Barnhart as its chief operating officer. Barnhart will play a pivotal role in transitioning AtmosZero from low-volume manufacturing to mass deployment of the Boiler 2.0 technology. 'We are laser focused on manufacturing a product that is modular, scalable and can be deployed today – not in decades,' said Addison Stark, CEO and co-founder of AtmosZero. 'We are proudly based in Colorado and our new facility will be the first to manufacture domestic industrial steam heat pumps that will drive American energy dominance to meet global demand for electrified steam solutions,' Stark added.This new factory is not only significant for bolstering U.S. industrial manufacturing but also represents a major economic boost for the broader Northern Colorado region. Barnhart brings extensive experience in scaling operations, having previously served as the senior vice president of operations at Nanometrics Inc. and the senior vice president of global operations at Cymer LLC. His background in collaborative leadership was further developed during his tenure as a nuclear engineering division officer in the U.S. Navy, where he honed his technical expertise and operational rigor.
