A 34-year-old Atmore resident was arrested Tuesday after police found two explosive devices at his residence and rendered them safe, according to the Atmore Police Department.
) - Trenton Lofton was charged with possession of a destructive device weapon and is being held at the Escambia County Detention Center.
The APD secured the area around the entrance into Walmart and stopped traffic in both directions on Highway 21 for several minutes in order for an ATF bomb tech to check Lofton’s vehicle for explosive devices. The vehicle was clear of any devices and Highway 21 and the entrance into Walmart was reopened for traffic, police said.
