The Heights Tree People celebrated their 1,000th planting Oct. 5 in the southwest corner of the Cleveland Heights High School Stadium and Crawford Field. In the front with the commemorative sign are HTP co-founder Laura Marks and Bill Hoose, caretaker of Spirit Corner in the Coventry neighborhood.CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Heights Tree People reached a milestone for community and canopy last week with the planting of another sapling -- No. 1,000 since the group’s inception four years ago.
