The Philippine Embassy in Israel says at least two Filipinos were injured as the war between Israeli forces and the Palestinian militant group Hamas continues.

The Philippine Embassy in Israel on Monday said at least two Filipinos were injured as the war between Israeli forces and the Palestinian militant group Hamas continues., Philippine Embassy in Israel Consul General and Deputy Chief of Mission Anthony Mandap said one Filipino there was shot while being rescued by Israeli defense forces from a shelter. Another reported injury was a case of suffocation after attackers burned down the house of a Filipino and her employer.

The envoy said the situation in Israel has subsided compared to the past days “when it was raining rockets practically all day.” Mandap said there are no plans yet to evacuate Filipinos in Israel since it would be better to stay indoors for now.
