At least 20 dead after Limpopo diamond mine bus collides with truck and bursts into flames

At least 20 people died when a bus burst into flames after colliding with a truck head-on in Limpopo on Sunday afternoon.

Limpopo Transport and Community Safety MEC Florence Radzilani said:"Further updates will be provided when the SAPS [has] completed investigating."

In a video circulating on social media, purportedly showing the accident scene, the bus is on fire and several bodies can be seen laying on grass alongside the road. A burning tyre is among the bodies, several metres away from the bus. The bus appears to have collided head-on with another vehicle. Radzilani is expected to visit the area on Monday to"ascertain facts around the accident" and visit those who were hospitalised as a result of the accident.
