San Francisco Federal Credit Union is more committed than ever to helping families and businesses achieve financial wellbeing.
San Francisco Federal Credit Union — a nonprofit that offers member-driven, community-oriented financial services and accessible savings and loans for all — is celebrating 70 years of service in the Bay Area this fall.
The fledgling institution started at a kitchen table and, by 1956, served 1,300 members with just three staff. Today, SFFCU has more than 45,000 members and seven branches. The ServicesAs a credit union, SFFCU offers many of the same services as traditional banks—but with extra perks. Like all credit unions, it is member-owned and not-for-profit, meaning it exists to support member needs rather than to make money for shareholders.
Members can also enjoy reasonable rates on personal, home, and car loans, along with debt consolidation or lines of credit. With rates available on the SFFCU site, members are always made aware of available services.
