Andie MacDowell, 64, Says She Feels More ‘Real and Honest’ With Gray Hair
I somehow feel like I look younger because it looks more natural. It’s not like I’m trying to hide something. I think that it’s a power move, and that’s what I kept telling my managers. It’s exactly what I need to be doing right here.”
In addition to going with her gut when it comes to hair, the actress is doing the same in her love life. She’s frequently asked about dating, and her response is always the same: She’s open to finding a match, but it’s also not a priority. As MacDowell has aged, she’s come to know “the intense amount of love that you feel” for all meaningful relationships in life, she told. “And so you have a bigger opportunity to have a larger heart and compassionate love and empathy for all kinds of different people. So, it’s not like I’m searching for a relationship.”
She continued: “Like, I could have a great friendship with you and be very fulfilled with the compassion and love that I could feel for you, or other people. It’s just a shift that happens with age, which feels really good.”
