Astros' Kyle Tucker OK after suffering minor ankle sprain during World Baseball Classic

Astros outfielder Kyle Tucker celebrates his home run for Team USA in its World Baseball Classic quarterfinal victory over Venezuela in Miami.PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — Astros outfielder Kyle Tucker"is fine" after suffering a minor ankle sprain at the World Baseball Classic last weekend.

Tucker did not play for Team USA in its semifinal win over Mexico on Sunday or the championship game loss against Japan on Tuesday night. General manager Dana Brown said Tucker is"going to be back to full activities" when he returns to the team Thursday morning. Tucker and closer Ryan Pressly were the Astros' final two players still participating in the World Baseball Classic. Pressly, like Tucker, did not appear in either the semifinals or final — but that is believed to be due to game situations.

Pressly reported to the Astros' facility on Wednesday morning. Tucker is expected to rejoin the club Thursday.
