Crysencio Summerville has attracted interest from a number of clubs so far this summer and now a new names is in the frame
In a summer when a host of clubs have been linked with Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville, there's been some frustration around all the talk of interest but actual moves on behalf of the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea and Crystal palace, while Brighton and Hove Albion's interest has barely got beyond an initial enquiry.
There remains an expectation Summerville will depart Elland Road this summer, but Leeds are not going to make it easy for potential suitors and following Archie Gray's exit to Tottenham Hotspur and the £40m fee received for him, the Whites are not in a position where they have to sell. Any potential suitor for Summerville knows they'll have to find a significant transfer fee, with suggestions Leeds will use the £40 they received for Gray as the new benchmark needed to prize Summerville away from the club. With that in mind, Aston Villa will have to consider whether they are in a position to pay that sort of money, with new reports suggesting the Villains are showing a real interest in Summerville.
Football Insider report Villa are considering a swoop for the Dutchman, who picked up the Championship player of the year award recently. Villa have already splashed the cash this summer on the likes of Ian Maatsen, Lewis Dobbin and Ross Barkley as they prepare for a campaign which brings Champions League football. Do they have another £40m to spend on Summerville? That's the question facing Villa if they are to be realistic players in the Leeds transfer saga of the summer.
