The Department of Immunobiology invites applicants to apply for the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. We are seeking investigators whose research program aligns with a department working to understand how the immune system and/or microbes influence the continuum of healthy and diseased states across the lifespan.
We will consider individuals studying areas of microbial biology , immunology , and those whose programs span these disciplines. Applicants combining the above with innovative techniques/methodologies , relevant cancer biology, and/or those with relevant translational elements to their program are encouraged to apply. We are looking for collegial & collaborative-minded colleagues. The candidate will be expected to participate in medical and/or graduate teaching & service at the departmental, college, and university levels. Teaching loads vary but are not expected to exceed 30 contact hours per year for research-intensive faculty. Senior & mid-career applicants will be expected to be leaders in their areas, with innovative programs & robust extramural funding. Junior applicants will be expected to establish new, cutting-edge programs & with the help of mentoring programs, secure extramural funding.
