An employee of Performed Line Products reported around 7:45 a.m. that he arrived at work and was immediately approached at his car by his ex-girlfriend, who yelled at him.The man, 19, suggested that she had followed him from his home, also in Ashtabula. He said there is a protection order in place, and she had violated it several times.A resident said Dec. 31 that during the early hours of the past two days someone shined a light through the sliding glass doors of their home.
The light was captured on their home cameras and the resident suggested that whoever was shining the light was walking to the back of the home to avoid a neighbor’s motion lights.The fire department reported at 3:50 a.m. Jan. 1 that a man came to their door and was possibly drunk and cold.Domestic dispute: Thornapple Drive A woman came to the station Jan. 2 and reported that her husband had assaulted her the previous night. Officers documented injuries to face, arm and body and the woman said that he had assaulted her before, but she had not reported it. A report was filed and sent to the prosecutor to determine if charges would be filed against the 38-year-old man.A woman came to the station at 7 p.m. Jan. 2 to report that her computer and cell phone had been hacked. She waited to speak with an officer for about five minutes before deciding to leave because she felt it was getting late.Officers were called to Wildcat Sport & Fitness at the high school Jan. 4 for a disturbance during a youth basketball game involving a coach, referee, and fan
