Actress Ashley Tisdale reveals on a recent podcast episode that her daughter mistakenly believed Zac Efron, her co-star in the High School Musical franchise, was her father. Tisdale explained the hilarious incident, stating that her daughter, upon seeing Efron in a film, exclaimed he was her 'daddy' due to their shared dark hair.
"About a year ago maybe, my husband showed her, and I was like, 'What are you doing?'" Tisdale explained with a laugh in a recent episode of thepodcast. "And she thought Zac Efron was her dad. I was like, 'No! That's not daddy.' She was like, 'Daddy!' I was like, 'No, no, no! Just cause they have dark hair ... not Daddy.
The story spawned an entire line ofcontent, including a TV sequel, a theatrical sequel, a movie spinoff just for Tisdale's character, and one of the more confusingly named TV series ever, calledEfron would probably laugh at the story. In June, he was asked to comment on both Tisdale and Hudgens, longtime close friends, becoming moms. , on which she voiced Candace Flynn and other characters. Though the series stopped producing new episodes in 2015 it's still on the air.
