Both Olsens are transitional-dressing wizards, leaning into layering pieces at any given chance. In the cooler months, the two often embrace long coats and scarves. While there are plenty of avenues to bridge the gap between sultry late summer and the crispness of fall, denim, button-ups, and trenches are de rigueur.
Leaving dinner at BondST in NoHo, Olsen wore an ankle-length black coat embellished with a low-contrast black pattern and a large black-and-gray checked scarf slung over one shoulder. While that may be a bit surprising given the very summery temperatures in New York, the real shock was her incongruent footwear choice: a pair of black flip flops from The Row.
