Ashley Judd paid tribute Monday to her mother Naomi Judd, who reportedly killed herself a day before she was set to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
Naomi Judd took her own life on Saturday, multiple sources have confirmed. Daughters Wynonna and Ashley said she died from the 'disease of mental illness'. Strickland, her husband of 32 years and Ashley's father, says the family wants privacy 'during this heartbreaking time'.
Naomi was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame on Sunday in an emotional ceremony just one day after her death. Both of Judd's daughters, Wynonna and Ashley Judd, broke down in tears while accepting the honor. In an Instagram post the following day Ashley wrote: 'Be free, my beautiful mother'
