To mark Caesarean Awareness Month, former Made In Chelsea star Ashley James has opened up about her experience of giving birth for the second time, calling it 'empowering'
TV presenter Ashley James has opened up about the birth of her second child, revealing that the “wonderful” and “controlled” experience didn’t go “without complications”.
Sharing a series of snaps of herself after giving birth, Ashley looked radiant as she cuddled baby Ada and her two year old son Alfie while the Palace of Westminster could be seen in the background. “The anaesthetist sat behind me and kept telling me exactly what was going on. So when things got complicated, she carried on calmly letting me know step by step. It helped me remain calm as it felt empowering knowing what was happening and when,” she added.
The TV personality, who has opened up about her experience of motherhood, finished off her emotional post by saying that she believed Ada felt that she was “home” as soon as she was placed on her chest, and that she felt love at first sight for the little one. Since becoming a mum, Ashley has previously spoken about her “traumatic” experience giving birth to Ada’s older brother Alfie.
