Kallum Radford is accused of hiding the car on a friend's driveway
The man accused of hiding the car used in the shooting of Ashley Dale told detectives his co-defendants were "horrible rats" who "threw me under the bus".
A jury at Liverpool Crown Court today watched video recordings of Radford's three police interviews, two in October 2022 and one in January early this year, after he handed himself into police and was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Radford added: "They could have pulled up any randomer but they asked me." Radford also told detectives that he heard the passenger in the car being referred to as 'Z' or 'Zest', which the jury has heard was the nickname of Zeisz.
He said Peers told him: "Thanks for sorting that for me lad, it will be gone in a week" and handed him £100, which he split with Miss Jevins. Referring to Peers, he added: "He was arrested after me wasn’t he? So it’s not like he’s not known, he’s had an inkling, obviously known what it was about but not given me the heads up or done nothing. I think he’s tried to let me take the fall for what they’ve done.
