The final episodes of Ash's era of the Pokémon anime are finally coming to the US for the first time, ending 25 years of the series.
The highly-anticipated tournament finals of the Pokémon anime with Ash Ketchum have finally had their American release date announced: June 23, 2023.
Netflix has been the official home for Pokémon for a while now, with the last big batch of episodes released on February 24, 2023. That set of episodes kicked off Pokémon's World Coronation Series Masters' Eight Tournament, which saw Ash up against the champion trainers from regions all across the Pokémon world, including fan favorites like Cynthia and the undefeated Leon.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT New Dubbed Pokémon Episodes Comes To Netflix On June 23rd Ash worked hard to make it into the Masters' Eight tournaments, but from where the anime left off after the last batch, Ash actually hasn't even had his first match yet.
While Netflix didn't make it clear exactly where the line will be drawn, it's likely that the anime's final arc, the "Aim to Be a Pokémon Master" miniseries, will not be included in this release. That miniseries sees the return of Misty and Brock as traveling companions, as well as the last days of Ash's travels before the series ends.
Fans who've gone along with Ash for the past 25 years will no doubt be feeling some major emotions as Ash puts everything on the line to achieve his dream. The Pokémon anime with Ash may be drawing to a close for American fans now, but every ending marks a new beginning--especially for Ash.
