Pokemon bids farewell to Ash and Pikachu!Last December we mentioned that the Pokemon story is going to continue without the iconic duo protagonists and they are going to be replaced by new characters.
Ash and Pikachu's final episode aired last Friday in Japan with the title of"Rainbow and the Pokemon Master" where the duo returns to their hometown Pallet Town. At that place, they meet his nemesis Gary and the Team Rocket before rejoining with his Pidgeot. Ash also recalled back on his voyage before embarking on his next destination with Pikachu. They also met the original cast such as Misty and Brock including the famous professor Oak where all of their quests began.
Their journey achieved 1,232 episodes and 23 movies in total and has been running for the past 2 decades. The next series will feature the new protagonist known as Liko and Roy and it's titled"Pokemon Horizons: The Series".
