The exotic tree frog was found at the Asda store in Murray Street, Llanelli, Wales last Monday after travelling from Colombia. The frog - now named Asda - likely survived by slowing down its metabolism.
Staff at an Asda supermarket found an exotic frog in a bunch of bananas after it made a 5,000-mile journey from Colombia to south Wales.It is believed the creature survived the long journey into a cooler climate without food or drink by slowing down its metabolism, as amphibians are able to do.
