The supermarket said it was investing £23million into lowering the prices of hundreds of items across its stores by an average of 11%
Asda has today announced price cuts on 425 branded and own-label products in a move that will bring some relief to hard-pressed family budgets. The supermarket said it was investing £23million to lower prices by an average of 11% on some of the most popular products bought by customers each week.
Asda said its latest Income Tracker showed that family budgets remained under pressure from rising living costs. Despite the CPI inflation rate easing last month, family disposable incomes remained much lower than before the cost of living crisis – down by more than £100 per month for the average household compared to July 2021.
