President Donald Trump took aim at former Vice President Joe Biden on Tuesday, joking about allegations from two women regarding inappropriate behavior from Biden on two different occasions.
"It doesn’t even really cross your mind that such a person would dare perpetuate harm like that. These are supposed to be people you can trust," Caruso told the Times. The second accuser, Lucy Cappo, told the Hartford Courant that Biden had leaned in and brushed his nose against hers, and left her thinking he would lean in to kiss her.
Later in the speech, the president joked about a conversation he had with a general who gave him good news. “I said, ‘General, give me a kiss.’ I felt like Joe Biden. But I meant it," Trump said. Nevada Democratic candidate Erin Bilbray also defended Biden, posting on Facebook that a 2014 encounter where he hugged her and kissed her on the head was "like a father or grandfather ."
