The royal family will “keep calm and carry on” as HarryandMeghanNetflix debuts, a senior palace aide tells KatieNicholl.
“There has been a lot of hype but there is not going to be a comment at every twist and turn,” a royal source said. “It’s business as usual and keep calm and carry on.”
While aides will be watching the series closely, along with the royals' lawyers, the palace are reluctant to comment on the show because they don’t want to feed what has become a media frenzy. Netflix has yet to announce the ratings for its global screening of the first three episodes of the show for which Harry and Meghan were paid a blockbuster 100 million dollars.
Buckingham Palace has refused to comment on the series and the show opened with a statement from Netflix confirming that the palace declined to comment. However, a palace source said of the claim they were approached for comment, “We are not aware of any such approach for comment.”
