The best rain chances are expected from late Tuesday through Wednesday. After that, drier and cooler air will move into South Texas.
Last week, strong high pressure over Texas brought well above-average temperatures across South Texas . This week, the weather pattern is looking a bit more active, and a stalled cold front is likely to scattered rain chances and slightly cooler temperatures, especially by the middle of the week. Here’s what you can expect, day by day.
From late Tuesday through Wednesday evening, scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop from the Hill Country, southward into San Antonio. Some storms could become strong, capable of gusty winds and small hail. Overall rain chances at this time are about 40%, so not everyone will see rain. For the spots that do see rain, most will receive less than a half-inch of accumulation. However, scattered downpours could result in isolated higher amounts.
