Seven years later, I’m still amazed they pulled it off as well as they did, and that it holds up as well as it does. Sure, the film's overwhelming success essentially ruined Hollywood by sending everyone chasing after the cinematic universe, which indirectly allowed TV and streaming to steal away adult moviegoers , but the movie is not responsible for the ill-fated reactions to its success.
