“He fought very hard to win this battle but in the end he was just too weak,” she continued. “He passed away peacefully in my arms. He knew he was safe and he was loved and he will be missed terribly. I cannot imagine my life without him. He was my guy, yesterday, today, tomorrow and forever. You are my heart and it is broken!”
Among these famous works from the powerhouse duo – which included pieces produced for “The Lord of the Rings” and “Magic: The Gathering” – was their “Style B” poster art painting in 1977 for “Star Wars: A New Hope,” which features main character Luke Skywalker holding a lightsaber above his head alongside other key characters, including Princess Leia, in front of a space scene that included the giant visage of Darth Vader.
