The art world is buzzing with activity despite the lull in social events following the holidays. From whimsical goat sculptures to streetwear-inspired furniture, New York City galleries are showcasing a diverse range of contemporary art, attracting both art enthusiasts and fashion icons.

The first few weeks of the year are typically quiet when it comes to social events, but the art world is already buzzing with activity. On January 10th, Emma Kathleen Hepburn Ferrer, a relative of the legendary Audrey Hepburn, opened her first solo exhibition at Tribeca's Sapar Contemporary Art Gallery. The exhibit, aptly titled 'Goats', features whimsical sculptures of goats in various precarious situations, such as being led to slaughter or stranded at sea.

After the gallery opening, Ferrer and her friends headed to another event a few blocks away. The night before, on East 89th Street, the Upper East Side experienced a lively start to the evening with a packed gallery opening for three artists. One of the featured artists, known for his streetwear-inspired 'fits and furniture designs, drew a crowd of hypebeasts and art enthusiasts alike. His solo exhibition was situated near Takuro Kuwata's colorful ceramics and a short distance from Miles Greenberg's works. Greenberg, a favorite in the fashion world, frequently graces the pages of magazines and is known for his unique artistic approach. He also attracted a diverse crowd of art and fashion aficionados. While almost every fashion person seems to be embracing Dry January, the art world is in full swing, embracing another year of creative expression. Perhaps they are still riding the wave of holiday festivities. Whatever the reason, if you're looking to break free from the confines of your apartment or are simply curious to explore the latest artistic endeavors, be sure to check your local galleries for upcoming exhibitions. Who knows, you might even catch a glimpse of Michèle Lamy, Owens' partner, who brought the party vibes to Greenberg's opening.
