The show's creator said there are lots of contemporary artists producing dog-themed artwork.
The collection at the 20-21 Visual Arts Centre in Scunthorpe features international artists, designers, illustrators and photographers who use the animal as their subject matter.

Rafael Mantesso, a Brazilian artist who also has work on show, overcame depression following a divorce by doing art with his bull terrier, Jimmy Choo. Miss Parrish explained: “He had an all-white flat and he ended up drawing pictures around the dog, illustrations. And then he became an Instagram sensation."Also on display are ceramics by Martha Todd, whose work is about people’s obsession with dressing up dogs.
There are also works by David Shrigley, a British artist known for his doodles and sketches in cartoon quality.
