Manchester City news as Arsenal are dealt a title race blow in their win over Brentford with Gabriel Martinelli injury trouble spotted
Gabriel Martinelli has given Arsenal a major injury scare after his side beat Brentford on Saturday. Following a second-half substitution against Sheffield United on Monday, Martinelli was spotted wearing a protective boot and using crutches at the Emirates Stadium.
For Arsenal this is an enormous blow in the race for the title and it comes ahead of two key fixtures. Mikel Arteta's side take on Porto in the Champions League aiming to overturn a 1-0 first-leg deficit on Tuesday. Before the game, Arsenal tweeted: "Gabriel Martinelli misses out on today's squad due to the foot issue sustained at Sheffield United." Arteta had expressed hope that the forward would be available for the game, though.
