Published: Mar. 7, 2025 at 2:09 PM ESTSUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio - Summit County residents can get a free ride home over the St. Patrick’s Day holiday, thanks to Arrive Alive , a campaign that hopes to keep drunk drivers off the roads.

Prosecutor Elliot Kolkovich urges everyone to not rely on the “luck of the Irish” to get home safe while celebrating. Instead, Prosecutor Kolkovich and Sheriff Kandy Fatheree teamed up with the ride-share service LYFT to provide 600 free or reduced-fair rides home to Summit County residents.Use LYFT code “SUMMITGREEN25″ for a free ride home up to $20.“Rest assured, my deputies and all area law enforcement will be out in full force this St. Patrick’s Day,” Sheriff Fatheree stated. “Don’t let a bad decision to drive impaired on the 17th lead to you waking up in my jail on the 18th.”Thousands of people have used the service since then. The Summit County Prosecutor’s Office offers Arrive Alive during the St. Patrick’s Day, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve holidays.
