Authorities announced that three people were arrested and charged in connection to the death of former One Direction singer Liam Payne.

Investigators are still trying to collect evidence from one of Payne's devices, which was damaged, and other seized devices. Payne's body is said to have been released to his father, Geoff, after Judge Laura Graciela Bruniard allowed it. Payne was a beloved member of the group, which formed in 2010 after its members — Payne, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik — auditioned for "The X-Factor" as solo acts and were brought together by the show. The band became one of the most successful boy bands of all time.
