Four people were shot at the Sutter Avenue station in Brooklyn on Sunday, including two bystanders.
NYPD brass said the alleged fare-beater had charged at the officers with a knife and made verbal threats against their lives; he was shot several times and was last said to be in stable conditionAll but one of the 18 cuffed were given summonses and released. One person remained in custody with charges pending. It wasn't clear if any officers were hurt in the fray on Sutter Avenue in Brownsville.
