Arrested construction worker in Cebu City buy-bust yields 40 grams of shabu

A construction worker yielded 40 grams of suspected shabu worth P272,000 as authorities arrested him during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Cadulawan, Talisay City, southern Cebu on Friday, May 5. ManilaBulletin

A .45 caliber pistol was also recovered from Padayo during the arrest.

Police Lt. Col. Randy Caballes, chief of police in Talisay City Police Station, said the suspect’s name had been consistently popping up in reports of illegal activities in the city. A two-week surveillance was immediately conducted until the suspect was finally cornered, Caballes said. Caballes said their investigation showed that Padayao got his supply of illegal drugs through an inmate at the Cebu City Jail.The suspect was capable of disposing of 50 grams of shabu a week, police said.
