Former NBA star Lamar Odom allegedly reached 106 miles per hour before his arrest on a Las Vegas freeway on suspicion of DUI over the weekend.

m. Saturday, Jan. 17, when they saw a black Dodge Durango SUV pass by at a high rate of speed. The trooper tried to catch up and wrote that their patrol vehicle reached 110 mph, but the Dodge was increasing its distance. "I was unable to lock the speed, but observed my radar target speed indicator display 106mph," the trooper wrote. The SUV eventually came to a stop in the painted gore on I-15 just north of Spring Mountain Road. Odom, the driver, and the passenger had "red, yellow hued bloodshot watery eyes," and the trooper alleged they "could smell the overwhelming odor of Marijuana emanating from the vehicle." When asked why he was speeding, Odom told the trooper that he was on the phone with his manager and almost home. Odom denied smoking any cannabis or drinking alcohol. He stepped out of the car and later admitted that he might have used marijuana hours earlier, at about 4 p.m. The trooper had Odom perform field sobriety tests and wrote that his performance was "unsatisfactory." "I explained to Odom the reasons I suspected he was impaired and he stated that he understands," the report states. "I then asked Odom if he was willing to continue the tests. Odom stated that he did not have a choice and I assured him that he did. Odom stated that due to his celebrity he had to do them. I explained that they were voluntary and that he could refuse." Odom, 46, was booked into Clark County Detention Center on suspicion of DUI, speeding and making an unsafe lane change, according to the report. He later consented to a blood draw while at the jail.Court records indicate his next appearance is scheduled for March 17.
